Course Overview
Concepts and practices of managerial accounting. Topics include: cost behavior and cost-volume-profit analysis, contribution margin reporting, profit planning and budgeting, standard costs, performance analysis, decentralized operations, and relevant costs for decision making.
Course Advantages
Managerial Accounting teaches the accounting concepts associated with understanding, gathering and building the financial information to assist internal managers with making the best decisions to meet and exceed the goals of a business organization. In this sense, this course is essential to any student who will be working in or will be exposed to any business in their future career. In addition, this particular course trains students to think in the context of existing businesses, adding a current and modern take to the concepts studied. I would encourage any student interested in understanding the business aspect of any industry, across any discipline to join.
