Welcome to Stonehill! Please review the next steps and deadlines below for all new first-year and transfer students. Complete tasks as soon as you can to ensure a smooth transition to the College and a fulfilling first-semester experience.
Required Tasks
The following tasks listed here are required of all new students enrolling at Stonehill College. This includes all new first-year and transfer students.
The Housing Application will be available on the myHill student portal under "MyHousing." Upon committing to the College, residential students are encouraged to submit the housing application as soon as possible.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the intersession period between December 12 and January 17. It may be several days or weeks before receiving your official assignment as we work to place students based on both availability and personal interests. The College will be closed between December 21 and January 1 in observation of the holiday season. All requests received by January 3 will be processed and placements provided by January 10.
The Hill Card, your student ID, is used to access residence halls and other campus resources. All new students must provide a photo for use on their Hill Card by Tuesday, January 17, 2025.
Spring semester bills will be available online in early December and are due Tuesday, January 3, 2025. Students can access the billing portal by logging into myHill and going to myBill.
Please note: Students are required to acknowledge that they have read the billing and payment plan information.
To complete the enrollment process, please have your final official transcript sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admission by your high school (first-year students) or prior college (transfer students).
We require this document to demonstrate satisfactory completion of your coursework and confirm your graduation (or, in the case of transfer students, to confirm current academic standing).

To get college credit or placement for your AP scores, you can request to have College Board send an official AP score report to Stonehill College.
You can make this request through the College Board website.
You will be contacted directly by an advisor in Academic Advising, who will take you through the course registration process. They will advise you on the curriculum, go over course options, and register you for your classes during this meeting. Please reach out to academic-advising@stonehill.edu with any questions.
For students wishing to register their vehicle for the Spring Semester, please go to MyHill and register for your spring parking decal.
To apply for a parking decal and gate transponder:
- Login to myhill.stonehill.edu and select “My Parking” from the main page under “Applications & Resources."
- Click “Add Vehicle.”
- Enter vehicle information and then click “Save Vehicle.”
- Click on “Permit Registration.”
- Select the vehicle you want to register and then click “Continue.”
- Review and agree to the Parking Guidelines.
- Click “Confirm Permits Date(s)” (This is the full year or half year decal option.)
You will receive a confirmation on when/where you can pick up your decal. - If you reside out of state, you need to complete a Massachusetts Non-Resident Driver Form, in addition to applying for the decal. Click this link to access the form: Click Here
After you submit the online form, the fee will be charged to your student account. Please monitor your Stonehill College email account for parking announcements.
Where To Pick Up Your Parking Decal
Both resident and commuter students will need to pick up their decals at the Campus Police office during first week of classes. We are located, upper campus at the Madigan Carriage House. Please allow a 24-hour processing time from decal registration to pick up.
Parking Decal Fees
Resident Full Year – $150.00
Resident Half Year – $75.00
Commuter Full Year – $75.00
Commuter Half Year – $37.50
Temporary Permits
All student vehicles are required to have a parking decal or a temporary parking permit displayed on their vehicle at all times. Temporary parking permits are available for those students who do not regularly bring a vehicle to campus. However, a temporary permit will not be issued for more than one week at a time. Students may obtain a total of three temporary permits during the academic year. After your third temporary permit expires you will need to apply for (purchase) a parking permit if you wish to continue to keep your vehicle on campus. The current fee for a temporary permit is $5.00, payable in Hill Dollars only. To pick up a temporary permit, you must visit the Campus Police station and speak to a dispatcher.
Required Health Forms
New students are required to meet certain health-related requirements prior to arriving on campus for the start of the semester. Please remember to contact your pediatrician's office as soon as possible to request your immunization records and a print-out of your most recent well-check/physical exam with a clinician signature from an appointment within the past year.
In accordance with Massachusetts state law, all new students must submit up-to-date immunization documentation and the required health forms. These documents should be submitted via the College’s Student Health Portal as soon as possible, for spring enrollment.

Student Health Insurance
Massachusetts requires all college students have health insurance. Students must enroll in the Stonehill College Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) or else waive it by providing proof of comparable health insurance coverage.
Billing
The following are optional tasks related to billing and student accounts.
If desired, you can enroll in a 4-month or 5-month payment plan. Enrollment opens once bills are available in December and the deadline to enroll in the 5-month plan is Friday, December 27, 2024.

As a supplement to our refund policy, Stonehill offers optional tuition refund insurance for those who withdraw for medical reasons. The deadline to enroll in this insurance is Monday, January 20, 2025, the day before classes start for the spring semester.
Accommodations
The following are optional tasks regarding requesting accommodations.
Unlike high school, college students need to self-disclose their disability. Enrolled students who believe they have a need for disability-related accommodations are encouraged to register with Accessibility Services.
Students will use their Stonehill log-in credentials to register with Accessibility Services for academic accommodations by completing the following steps:
- Register with Accessibility Services by completing the registration form below. Alternative formats of the form are available upon request. If you need any assistance in completing the form or making us aware of your needs, please let us know.
- Complete the Online Registration Form. This form is only available to students with Stonehill log-in credentials. For new students, please use this form after you receive your credentials.
- Submit relevant documentation. Please refer to our website for assistance in providing documentation that is appropriate to verify eligibility and support your specific accommodation request(s). Documentation can be submitted through the online form or via these other options:
- Fax documentation to 508-565-1014
- Email documentation to accessibility-services@stonehill.edu.

Students who have completed their registration application will receive an email including a link to schedule an intake appointment.

Technology
The following are recommendations and requirements regarding technology for students.
The Stonehill IT webpages contain valuable information about technology, including a Get Started page. This page contains references to many helpful resources for new students, including information on your Stonehill account, managing your password, myHill and laptop recommendations, among others.
There is also informative documentation and training materials in a section called the Knowledge Base.
Buying a new laptop for college? Consider taking a look at our laptop recommendations for ideas on minimum specifications, as well as consulting with the head of your major to see if their curriculum comes with any specific requirements.
The Stonehill College Meehan School of Business has specific recommendations for student laptops for some majors. All accounting, business analytics, economics, finance, healthcare management, international business, management, management information systems, marketing, sport management, talent and human resources management, and undeclared business majors must have a Windows PC laptop.
Varsity Athletics
The following are required tasks for varsity athletes.

Career Development
The following are optional tasks regarding career planning.
Career Development recognizes each student comes in at different stages of career readiness. The Career team will create a profile for you in Handshake, our career management platform.

FOCUS helps college students and persons in career transition to develop an accurate picture of their personal strengths, needs and preferences. Whether you are exploring education or career paths, this can help you discover and explore options that match your interests, personality, values and skills.
Students are encouraged to take the Strong Interest Inventory early so that they can receive their unique career profile reports. After classes have started, you will be able to make an appointment through Counseling Services to have it interpreted.
Additional Information
Stonehill utilizes our Hill Alert emergency notification system to quickly and efficiently communicate with the campus community via text message—as well as through email or a phone call—in case of an emergency on campus.
In January, you will complete the Check-In Process in myHill. Check-in occurs at the beginning of each term for all students. It confirms your personal contact information and attendance for the semester in a few easy steps. The process includes:
- Address verification
- Residency status verification
- Emergency contact set-up
- Clearing any holds that have been placed on your record by a campus department
Instructions for completing Spring 2025 Check-In will be sent from the Registrar’s Office to your Stonehill email prior to the start of classes in January.

The Hill Card is Stonehill’s campus access card. Students use their Hill Card to access residence halls, the library, the sports complex and other campus resources. It also stores meal and Hill Points Balances.
All resident students are required to participate in the base Meal Plan. Meal Plan points can be used at any on campus eating venue including Dunkin' in the Shield’s Science Center and Au Bon Pain in May Hall. At the end of the spring semester, any base points not used are non-refundable.

The Office of Academic Advising coordinates all of the College's resources to focus on and advocate for individual student success. The office provides students with information on academic programs, majors and minors, as well as aids students facing difficulties, academic or otherwise.
