Master of School Counseling at Loyola University Maryland
Purpose
This agreement outlines the Fast Track admission process for undergraduate students at Stonehill College and Loyola University Maryland’s School Counseling program. Through the Fast Track admission opportunity undergraduate students may apply to the master’s program through a shortened application process. Prior to submitting their application, students are invited to attend a School Counseling information session designed for undergraduates interested in pursuing a career in counseling. Students are encouraged to apply for Fast Track admission to the School Counseling program at the start of their final semester at Stonehill College.
Eligibility
Fast Track admission to the Loyola School Counseling program requires the following:
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at Stonehill College
- An overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of application
- Satisfactory completion of remaining undergraduate degree coursework, maintaining the minimum GPA requirements noted above

Benefits for those accepted for Fast Track admission include:
- 15% tuition discount (Summer 2023 start term and beyond)
- Application fee waived
Application Requirements
- Completed online application (applicants must select the Fast Track option when applying)
- Essay describing how the graduate program aligns with personal or career goals
- Undergraduate transcript(s) demonstrating a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 and including grades from the most recently completed semester
- 2 letters of recommendation
- Résumé (optional)
- Applicants selected to move forward will be invited for an interview
Upon acceptance into the School Counseling program, a nonrefundable deposit may be required to secure enrollment. This deposit will be applied toward the first semester of tuition.
