An MBA Tailored To Meet Your Needs

Stonehill's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program allows aspiring business leaders to broaden their business knowledge and hone their skillset and apply them in ways beneficial to their organizations and society.

Through the individually designed specialization, business professionals can design a custom set of electives in a focus area important to their unique growth and goals. Students will choose electives from among the graduate business programs at Stonehill to strengthen their skills.

Through this specialization, students will:

  • Take nine core courses
  • Strategize and select a set of three business elective courses to strengthen their skills in specific areas

All MBA students are required to take a set of core courses as well as the elective courses to complete their program. The 36–39-credit program can be tailored to help students broaden and strengthen their skillset.

Sports Marketing

MKT 619
The sports marketing course will cover marketing principles and theories in a sports context and topics specific to sports marketing. These include sports agency, licensing, sports events, college sports, leveraging fan behavior, underdogs, and athletic endorsements.

Entrepreneurship

MKT 625
A case study course that concentrates on the underlying rationale for starting a business, the methods and techniques involved in initiating and leaving a business venture, and the ongoing problems encountered in managing business activity. The student is given practical exposure to entrepreneurship through guest speakers, case discussions, and projects.

Security, Privacy & Ethics in Data Analytics

DAN 607
A survey and case study course emphasizing the importance of data privacy and security. We need to share data in organizations, but the more we share it, the more it becomes necessary to protect it. By the end of the course, students will understand the legal, social, and ethical ramifications of data security and privacy as well as the concepts behind data guardianship and custodianship and data permissions. Special attention will be given to industry-specific data privacy laws (HIPAA, FERPA, PCI DSS, etc.).

For professionals looking to expand their knowledge in the field, Stonehill offers a variety of five-course professional certificates. If a student completes a graduate certificate and wishes to pursue a master's degree, these courses can be applied toward the degree.

The Data Analytics Graduate Certificate prepares marketers to analyze and extract data from a variety of sources and use it to develop actionable strategies that improve business results.

The Digital Marketing Graduate Certificate allows students to strengthen their strategic and practical skills in key digital marketing areas, including data analysis and metrics, social media, digital storytelling, ethics and privacy issues, email marketing, online advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), and strategic uses of internet technologies.

The Experiential Marketing Graduate Certificate provides a strong foundation in understanding customers and meeting their needs through a variety of online and offline marketing initiatives.

The Marketing Analytics Graduate Certificate ensures marketers gain the in-demand skills to analyze and extract data and use it to inform their decision-making across online and offline initiatives.
