Establish Understanding

All students have different needs when it comes to their college experience. Some prefer their family members to take a hands-on approach, while others seek to cultivate a sense of independence. Have a discussion with them about what they need from you in terms of support. Let your student take ownership of their educational and extracurricular experiences. 

Encourage Engagement

Stonehill’s Student Engagement team offers dozens of clubs and organizations to help students explore their passions. Encourage your student to get involved so they can build community and feel empowered to discover their niche.
