Family Weekend is a time for family members of our Stonehill students to enjoy campus and experience what it’s like to be a Skyhawk! Be part of various events, athletic games, and different ways to engage in our campus community.

Communities of Color

In collaboration with the Faculty & Staff of Color Network, we invite all students, faculty and staff of color and families to ring in the new academic year together.  Come network with other students, faculty, and staff of color and learn about ways to get involved in student groups. 

BACES Kickoff

BACES is kicking off the new academic year with a gathering during Family Weekend  on Friday, September 20th at 5:30pm in the Meehan Great Room. The BACES Mentoring Program is a mentorship program that connects BIPOC students (mentees) with alumni mentors. 

Farm Friday 

The Farm invites you to our weekly “Farm Friday” which is an opportunity to visit,volunteer and learn about our farm program. All are welcome, no experience necessary!

Farm Tour

Located at 405 Washington Street, come down to the Stonehill farm for a chance to experience what small scale farm production is like. Get a chance to learn more about our composting program, see our bees that produce Stonehill Honey and farm chickens. All are welcome! 

Fresh Check Day

Fresh Check Day is an annual event that decreases stigma and raises awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. It is a fair-style, community-based event that provides students with resources, education on how to help a friend, ways to practice self-care, and where to find support on campus. There will be music, food, baby farm animals, massages, activities, a flu shot clinic, the 20/20 Vision Van, and more! 

Trivia: Family Weekend Edition

Put your knowledge to the test and enjoy a fun filled game of Family Trivia in Commons A! Win Prizes and enjoy time with family and friends. All Are Welcome!

Karaoke Night & Brother Mike's

Everyone Should Study Some Law, No Matter Your Major or Career Goals: Mock Lecture

This family weekend lecture provides an overview of MGT 352 Legal Environment of Business, a 4-credit course required of students majoring in business. Adjunct Professor Robert B. Smith, a highly experienced trial lawyer, will give an overview of the course content including torts, contracts, intellectual property, employment law and the like. The course stresses the importance of clear written and verbal communications around complex topics effecting every aspect of our personal and professional lives. An elementary understanding of the law's requirements and impact are critical for an educated citizenry. The course emphasizes critical thinking skills.  Professor Smith's ultimate goal is to teach students how to think, not what to think. Facts matter. Words matter. 

Experiment with Psychology

Visitors will have a chance to experience psychology examples and research first-hand and learn about the content from current psychology students and faculty.

Explore the Art Gallery: Sandrea Lovelock Williams Exhibit

Explore the exhibition of Jamaica born and Boston-based painter, Lovelock-Williams who uses her family as her models and muses and scale to convey the importance of the subjects. Largely autobiographical, she searches for her identity using multi-faceted pluralistic postcolonial visual language.

The Disney Leadership Experience engages a cohort of students in 10 on-campus leadership workshops, building a foundation of leadership principles and shared philosophy. Following on campus workshops, students take part in a six day, five night immersive experience at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL attending three Disney Imagination Campus workshops that focusing on leadership, teamwork, and immersive storytelling.

Students selected to take part in this program cover all costs. More on the program can be found HERE

All proceeds from this raffle go back to supporting the students in this program and program costs. The raffle is now open and conclude Sunday, September 22. Raffle tickets are $1 per ticket, 6 for $5, or 15 for $10.  Tickets can be purchased in the Office of Student Engagement, at the Information Desk in the Roche Dining Commons during Family Weekend, and at the Family Weekend evening social events on Friday and Saturday night.  

Raffles will be drawn Monday, September 23, and winners will be notified via email. Prizes can be picked up in the Office of Student Engagement by the winners or their representative. Some prizes may be able to be mailed.
