Green Student Groups
Stonehill students are involved in many student led group initiatives that work towards a more sustainable community here at Stonehill. Student groups raise awareness of environmental issues in our community and around the world through programs and events that serve to encourage environmentally friendly practices among students, faculty and staff. Students for Environmental Action (SEA)
The club, Students for Environmental Action (SEA), serves to educate the campus community about different environmental issues on campus and around the world. SEA sponsors campus-wide programs and initiatives that make Stonehill a greener school.
SEA partners with The Farm at Stonehill to put on events such as fall pumpkin painting and celebrate the fall harvest. For Earth Day, SEA aims to raise awareness about how students can get involved through activities and events, raffles, and sustainability-themed movie nights. In Spring, the club will also work on a Green Move Out program where students can donate their unwanted items instead of tossing them.

Break Free From Plastic (BFFP)
The Break Free From Plastic initiative is a campus-wide pledge to decrease and eventually eliminate all disposable, non-essential, single-use plastics. So far, the SEA club has been working to get this pledge signed and has received over 250 signatures from students, staff, and faculty. They will continue to collaborate with dining, facilities, purchasing, and more departments to reduce plastic use and come up with solutions.
