Consultation, Education, and Training
The Counseling Services staff is available to Stonehill faculty and staff to address student concerns (within the extent possible given confidentiality). The staff is also available to also make formal presentations on specific topics related to mental health awareness, wellness promotion, suicide prevention, and supporting others. In addition to faculty/staff presentations and consultation, the clinicians are available to provide training to student leadership groups to promote their ability to support peers while serving those leadership roles. The staff is also involved in a variety of mental health outreach programs for students throughout the year. Last, clinicians provide supervision to graduate level trainees in such fields as counseling and social work.
