Stonehill: Top 8% among 4-Year Colleges Nationally for ROI
With graduates averaging a total of $2,586,000 in salary over 40 years in the workplace, Stonehill ranked among the best in the nation for return on investment.
A recent national return on investment (ROI) report focused on colleges and universities placed Stonehill College in the top 8% among four-year colleges and in the top 4% among all post-secondary educational institutions.
The 2025 report by the Georgetown Center on Education and the Workforce considered graduate incomes from 10 to 40 years after graduation. Among the 4,476 schools included in the report, Stonehill ranked No. 163 (Top 4%) based on the most inclusive salary data (40 years) and the most recent data available (2021-2022).
It ranked No. 145 (Top 8%) among the 1,682 four-year colleges included in the report.
“Because many institutions share general characteristics and offer similar programs, ROI can make the difference when a prospective student considers all other factors to be roughly equal,” the report states.
The report noted that graduation rates are most strongly correlated with ROI measures at institutions that predominantly award bachelor’s degrees, with the notable exception of those that are for-profit.
The Georgetown report is one among several recent reports that rank Stonehill as among the best in the nation for value. Others include Payscale, which recently examined salary potential among colleges, U.S. News & World Report and The Wall Street Journal.
