Stonehill College Appoints New Director of Campus Ministry
Rev. Timothy Mouton, C.S.C., will oversee sacramental, liturgical, and service-focused programs at the institution.
President John Denning, C.S.C., recently announced the appointment of Rev. Timothy Mouton, C.S.C., as the new director of campus ministry, effective June 1, 2025. In addition to creating opportunities for Skyhawks to experience the richness of Stonehill’s spiritual community, Fr. Mouton will serve on the institution’s senior leadership team.
“A student-centered pastoral minister, Fr. Tim has demonstrated a consistent commitment to ensuring students have the tools needed to live, learn and lead compassionately,” President Denning said. “As he guides faith formation initiatives through his new role in Campus Ministry, I have every confidence that he will further and strengthen the College’s Catholic and Holy Cross mission.”
When he assumes leadership of Campus Ministry, Fr. Mouton will balance his new responsibilities with his current work overseeing Stonehill’s athletic chaplaincy program, through which he offers his counsel to student-athletes, coaches and athletic staff across the College’s Division I programs.
Ordained in 2015, Fr. Mouton spent his first years of priesthood working in Campus Ministry at Stonehill and serving as a volunteer coach with the baseball program. He subsequently worked in the Office of Vocations for the Congregation of Holy Cross. He then returned to Stonehill, at which time he was named director of first-year experience and leadership development. In this position, he managed campus programs designed to guide students amid their shift from high school to college.
A native Texan, Fr. Mouton earned B.A. and M.Div. degrees from the University of Notre Dame. He is currently pursuing a doctorate at Northeastern University.
“Throughout my time at Stonehill, I have worked closely with Campus Ministry staff on projects meant to help community members deepen their faith. I am excited to expand upon our previous collaborations. I am truly grateful to Fr. John for entrusting me with the responsibilities that come with this new role,” Fr. Mouton said.
