Money magazine recently analyzed 2,400 four-year colleges and universities in the United States and in the end only 10% of them – including Stonehill College – earned 4.5 or higher in the 5-star rating system of its 2024 Best Colleges in America list.

This year, 745 of the 2,400 schools Money assessed were included in its rankings. Stonehill was one of 34 Massachusetts colleges and universities that made the list and one of only 17 statewide to receive a rating of 4.5 or higher. It outperformed a significant number of schools that students typically consider when applying to Stonehill.

Money centered its assessment on dozens of data points related to quality, affordability and student outcomes. The magazine gathered information from U.S. Department of Education, Peterson’s, PayScale.com, MONEY/College Measures calculations and ranked the schools on 26 factors in three categories: educational quality, affordability and alumni success.
