Kemuel Navarrete ’22 & Giana Gualda ’22 Present Class Gifts at Commencement
This year's gift will not only benefit the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Social Justice, but will also help fund the creation of a Skyhawk statue.
This year, the Class of 2022 is donating towards two class gifts.
We have chosen the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Social Justice because we believe the Center is vital in making Stonehill a better and more inclusive place for all current and future students. The Center supports lectures, events, and academic research that examine how race, ethnicity, and other categories of difference are infused in structures of power. It also functions as a bridge between the academic experience and student life. By donating to this Center, we hope to help Stonehill achieve its mission of creating a more just and compassionate world.
Furthermore, the Class of 2022 has joined the Class of 2017 initiative to create a Skyhawk Statue. This statue will serve as a beacon of pride for past, current, and future Skyhawks. We envision this in front of the Sports Complex where students will walk by and feel proud to be a Skyhawk, where prospective and accepted students will feel excitement about their future at Stonehill, and where we leave just part of our legacy on this campus for generations of Skyhawks to come. This statue will symbolize our strong community and always welcome us home.
We look forward to being active and engaged alumni in the years ahead.
