Faculty and Staff Receive 2023 Gaudete Medal
Celebrating those who have worked at Stonehill College for 20 years or more.
Stonehill College recently held its annual Gaudete Recognition Celebration in honor of faculty and staff who have achieved two decades of dedicated service to the institution.
Awarded by the College since 1983 and designed by Italian artist Enrico Manfrini, the medallion features an image of Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary on the front and the College’s seal on the reverse side.
The third Sunday of Advent is otherwise known as Gaudete Sunday. The Latin phrase “Gaudete in Domino Semper,” meaning “Rejoice in the Lord always,” is featured in the opening of the liturgy held on this day. Congratulations to this year’s recipients.
