  • Welcome back, Skyhawks!  Here are some important reminders about hours, inclement weather, off-campus access, and reserves to successfully start your Spring 2020 semester.
  • Understanding the Enormity of the Australian Bushfires:  The fires in Australia are so widespread they seem almost incomprehensible. This year has seen record devastation, already more than 12 million acres have burned.  That is an area roughly twice the size of Massachusetts. The fires show no signs of abating and are exhausting the fire services, and this is only the beginning of the season.
  • Keeping your New Year’s Resolutions:  Did you resolve to make 2020 the best year ever? Is this the semester you are going to get your GPA up? Whatever your resolutions are, you can make a plan to put them into action. If your resolution is to get good grades this semester, there are a few simple steps you can take right now to put yourself on the right track.
  • January is National Creativity Month: Join us on Friday, January 17th from 1pm – 4pm in the library to learn to sew!  We will be making “joey pouches” which will be shipped to Australia as part of worldwide efforts to care for injured, displaced, and orphaned baby kangaroos, wallabies, and other wildlife affected by the Australian bushfires.

  • Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Days of Celebration: The Office of Intercultural Affairs, the Office of Residence Life, the Office of Campus Ministry, and the Career Development Center are pleased to present the Revered Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Days of Celebration taking place January 20th – 27th, 2020 across campus. All are welcome to attend.

  • Loo Lowdown: Each month, the library posts a "loo lowdown" in the restrooms.  Learn more about popular items and events taking place in the library.
  • Ace's Place Hours: Stay up to date on Ace’s Place hours this semester.
  • Puppy Therapy: Back by popular demand, puppy therapy will return this semester.  The first puppy therapy session is Thursday, January 16th from 7:30pm – 8:30pm.
  • Faculty Research Forum: Please join us on Friday, January 24th at 2:30pm for a faculty research forum hosted by Professor Sarah Gracombe of the Department of English.  The forum will take place on the first floor of the library in the south end.
  • Research Forum: Please join us on Tuesday, January 28th at 2:30pm for a faculty research forum hosted by Professor Heiko Todt of the Department of Mathematics. The forum will take place on the first floor of the library in the south end.
