Library Welcome Back Event
Mark Your Calendar: Library Welcome Back Event
The library staff invites all members of the Stonehill Community to join us for our second annual Welcome Back Event, from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, September 21. Stop by and you will be treated to food, swag, activities, giveaways, and – best of all - it’s all FREE.
The library launched the Welcome Back Event last year to give Stonehill students, faculty, and staff the chance to learn what the library has to offer and meet the folks who work here. It was a tremendous success. We expect this year’s celebration to be even better as we have added more offerings and have more student groups participating.
Stop by and you can join The Art Club in making do-it-yourself bookmarks and staff from Health and Wellness in making friendship bracelets. You can also check out the Digital Lab, where the Gaming Club will set up some friendly Mario Kart competitions. Bring a Nintendo Switch, if you have one (but it is not required). If gaming is not your thing, spend some time visiting with Lucy the therapy dog, who will stop by to provide some canine companionship to library visitors.
Outside, students from Stonehill’s own radio station, WSHL, will be on hand to provide the music and take requests. While outside, you can also use one of the many games from our Library of Things – Corn Hole or Kan Jam, to name a couple.
Throughout the event, you can take advantage of plenty of freebies – snacks, swag, and assorted giveaways.
