Thanksgiving break is approaching. Then, it’s time to write papers, give final presentations, and take exams. We know it’s a stressful time. We’re hoping that some of the resources below might provide you with a dose of calm during this busy period. - Greater Good Magazine from UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center – On the website, you can find an array of articles, videos and podcasts on topics ranging from “How to Notice Good Things in Your Life”, to “How to be Kinder to Yourself” and “How to Clear Your Head”.

- Insight Timer – The free version of this app includes thousands of guided meditations and talks.
- Smiling Mind – Run by a non-profit, this free app gives you access to hundreds of meditations arranged into categories such as relationships, stress management, sleep meditations, and more.
- Calm – Sign up for a free trial to check out Calm’s guided meditations, musical selections and nature sounds.
- Ten Percent Happier – Like Calm, above, Ten Percent happier offers a free trial that gives you access to guided meditations and teachings led by renowned meditation instructors.
Recreation/Stress Relief Tools (Items from The Library of Things)
Our library of things includes a number of things that might help you de-stress a bit, including:
- Noise Cancelling Headphones
- A “Happy” Light
- Board Games – Stop by the Library of Things to look at the many options.
- Binoculars (for bird and deer watching)
- You might want to wait until after exams to check out our ukulele and bongo drums.
