  • LGBT History Month: Each October, LGBT History month celebrates the contributions and achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender icons.  Learn more by checking out one of the many LGBT History items from MacPhaidin Library's collection.
  • Standing Still in a Culture of Mass Shootings: On Sept. 16, 2013, a military subcontractor opened fire at the headquarters of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) at the Washington D.C. Navy Yard. On Tuesday, Oct. 26, Jennifer Bennett, a survivor, will be on campus to discuss that day and her book, Standing Still in a Culture of Mass Shootings.
  • National Book Month: Do you have abibliophobia – a fear of running out of reading material?  Not to worry – the library has all the reading material you need to celebrate National Book Month!
