Biography

Professor of Psychology Nicole Capezza's primary areas of research interest are intimate partner violence, gender stereotypes and romantic relationships. Specifically, she examines topics related to physical and psychological abuse, victim blaming, gender and sexuality. She actively involves undergraduate students in her research lab and frequently presents research with her students at regional, national and international psychology conferences.

Her research is widely published in professional journals like Current Directions in Psychological Science, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Perspectives on Psychological Science, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, Sex Roles, and Personal Relationships, among others.
