Khai Z. Sim

Biography
Assistant Professor of Economics Khai Zhi Sim joined the Stonehill College community in 2023. His teaching and research interests include macroeconomics and banking. His recent research focuses on bank moral hazard that arises from government bailouts and the prediction of bank failures with machine learning. His recent articles have appeared in Journal of Macroeconomics and Economics Letters. For more on Sim's research, visit his website.
Previously, Sim was an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at Eastern Connecticut State University. He is currently attaining credentials to become a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
