William A. Karalis

Lieut. Karalis had a distinguished career in law enforcement in the state of Rhode Island before coming to Stonehill College in 2019. Lieut. Karalis retired from the Pawtucket RI Police department after a 22-year career, which saw him rise to the rank of Major. During his time with Pawtucket PD Lieut. Karalis spent time in the Patrol, Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Planning and Training, and Administrative Divisions. His experience with Pawtucket PD led him to the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General, where he was the Chief of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification. Lieut. Karalis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice from Roger Williams College and a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College.
