Biography

Assistant Professor of Sport Management Shea Brgoch joined the Stonehill College community in 2024. Previously, she spent three years as an assistant professor at Western Kentucky University. She started her career in the sport industry by coaching volleyball at Missouri Southern State University before working with Ball State Women’s Volleyball team as a manager and director of operations.

Brgoch’s research primarily focuses on the dissemination and implementation of research findings into practice. She has applied this to the context of youth sport by exploring how parents, coaches, and athletes grapple with the decision to specialize. In addition, she works to implement innovative grading and teaching practices into her classroom to improve student learning and engagement.
