Samuel Goree
Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Biography
Assistant Professor of Computer Science Samuel Goree joined the Stonehill College community in 2023. He is an interdisciplinary scholar and former data scientist. His research interests include human-centered artificial intelligence, computational studies of visual culture and the history and culture of computing.
Before coming to Stonehill, he earned a Ph.D. in Informatics from the Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering under a National Science Foundation graduate research fellowship. Before that, he was a double major in music and computer science at Oberlin College and retains a love for music of the 20th century avant-garde.
