Rebekah Louis, EdD, has taught in higher education for nearly a decade, drawing upon her many years of experience as a teacher in the public schools. Her research focuses on the clinical experience aspect of teacher preparation, including investigating how technology use in clinical preparation impacts teacher candidates’ experiences and the impact of placement factors on teacher candidates’ clinical experiences.

Elizabeth Stringer Keefe

Dean of Graduate & Professional Studies
Elizabeth Stringer Keefe, Ph.D., has held faculty appointments in higher education for 20 years and served as a public school teacher prior to her work in teacher preparation. Her research includes several current projects aimed at advancing the field of teacher education/preparation, particularly identifying innovations and new understandings about teacher preparation for diverse student groups and educational contexts.

Stonehill's Master of Education (M.Ed.) prepares teachers to create and lead inclusive learning environments. It leads to a master's degree in education and Massachusetts initial licensure or community education specialization.

Stonehill Teacher Residency candidates complete an intensive field-based residency in a partner district alongside their graduate coursework. It leads to a Master of Education degree and Massachusetts initial licensure.

Stonehill in Boston's Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education is a weekend master's degree program leading to initial Massachusetts licensure in special education, PreK-8 or 5-12. It allows students to pursue their coursework at our off-campus instructional site in Boston. Postbaccalaureate licensure options also available.
