2025 Scholar Series: Rev. Adam Booth, C.S.C.
The Holy Cross priest and faculty will investigate the contribution of maternal imagery to the Christology and Soteriology of First Peter.

Becoming a Christian is described in terms of being born anew in the New Testament letter called First Peter. But who is giving birth? During this program, Rev. Adam Booth, C.S.C., will build on recent arguments that Jesus is presented like a birth and nurturing mother. He will unpack the claims being made by examining ancient conceptions of motherhood.
This program is sponsored by the MacPháidín Library. Light refreshments will be provided, courtesy of the Office of Academic Affairs.
