Assistant Professor of Economics Khai Z. Sim has done extensive research on how banks operate, from common causes of bank failure and government bailouts to the fostering of moral hazards and excessive risk-taking by financial institutions. Recently, his scholarship has led him to focus on the possible prediction of bank failures. During this session, he will explore these issues that have an impact on everyday people.
