2024 Post-Sabbatical Colloquium: Bronwyn Heather Bleakley
The evolutionary biologist and behavioral ecologist will explore her work examining how social behavior emerges and evolves in fish and arthropods.
It is not well understood how cooperation among individuals who are not related to one another emerges and evolves. Professor of Biology Bronwyn Heather Bleakley uses a wide range of approaches to characterize the genetic and physiological traits that underlie cooperative antipredator behavior in Trinidadian guppies and provide substantive research experiences to undergraduates.
This program is sponsored by the MacPháidín Library. Light refreshments will be provided.
