In Memoriam

Louis “Lou” Colitti ’66, who died in January 2023, became a history teacher at Brockton High School upon graduating from Stonehill. There, he also coached baseball, basketball and cross country until he retired in 1989. As the College’s head baseball coach between 1974 and 1994, he guided the team to Northeast-10 Conference regular season championships in 1984 and 1985 while capturing the Northeast-10 Tournament title in 1985. When his team won the ECAC championship in 1980, he received the New England Coach of the Year Award. In 2019, he returned to Stonehill as assistant coach to head baseball coach Patrick Boen ’89, one of his former players.
