D. Robert Brebbia ’52 of Pearl River, N.Y., died March 31. He is survived by his wife, Anne, seven children, including Anne Pawlicki ’83, 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a brother, John ’53, and a cousin, Deborah Grandy ’59. 

Joseph Moran Jr. ’52 of Eastham died June 9. He is survived by four children, six grandchildren, two brothers, James ’54 and Robert ’64, and sister-in-law Marianne ’64. 

Edward Noone Sr. ’54 of Brockton died April 4. He is survived by his wife, Jean, eight children, 21 grandchildren, including Jean Marie Shea ’19, 26 great-grandchildren and three siblings. 

Raymond Farrow Jr. ’57 of Portsmouth, R.I., died June 16. He is survived by his wife, Carol, two daughters, two grandchildren and a sister. 

R. Joseph Vaughan ’58 of St. Louis, Mo., died July 13. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn, a daughter, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Vincent Hoye Jr. ’58 of North Attleborough died August 19. He is survived by two daughters, six grandchildren, two siblings, a niece, Carolyn ’18, and a nephew, Robert ’21. 

William Brady ’59 of Westwood died June 9. He is survived by six children, including William Jr. ’84, son-in-law Richard Scafati ’88, 16 grandchildren and two nephews, David Brady ’81 and Paul Whelan ’89. 

Timothy Maloney ’59 of Little Compton, R.I., died March 20. He is survived by a daughter and a brother. 

Charles Menard Jr. ’59 of Fall River died June 26. He is survived by his wife, Joan, two daughters, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother. 

Rosemary (Corrigan) Shillue ’59 of Green Valley, Ariz., died June 9. She is survived by five children, six grandchildren and a brother. 

Robert Feeney ’60 of Hull died August 2. He is survived by his wife, Sheila, two children and a grandchild. 

S. Peter Giambanco ’61 of Norwood died March 21. He is survived by his wife, Janice, six children, including Mark ’89 and Gregg ’93, daughter-in-law Deborah ’93, 13 grandchildren, including Devon Ryan ’17, Victoria ’18, Kayla ’19, Peter III ’19 and Megan ’22, cousin, Anthony Balsamo ’76, and Anthony’s wife, Mary Balsamo ’76.

John Griffin ’62 of North Attleboro died March 26. He is survived by his wife, Sheila, four children, nine grandchildren and two siblings.

Robert Felix ’63 of North Billerica died March 25. He is survived by four children, 10 grandchildren and a niece, Michelle DeStoop ’91.

Joyce (Abreau) Wallace ’63 of Raynham died July 14, 2019. She is survived by four children, eight grandchildren and a sister.

Fred Harrington ’64 of Amherst, N.C., died May 6. He is survived by his wife, Sally, three children and a grandchild.

Jane (Kennedy) Ragab ’64 of Stoughton died August 9. She is survived by her husband, Abdel, two children and two grandchildren.

Brian Laska ’96 of Millis died August 30. He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Wilson) ’95, his parents, and a brother.

Kerry Fitzgerald ’00 of Weymouth died June 2. She is survived by her daughter, father, six siblings and fiancé, Thomas McCarron.

Judith Jennings ’03 of Newberg, Ore., died May 20. She is survived by her husband, Dean, three children, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two brothers.

David Lombardi ’15 of North Kingstown, R.I., died July 19. He is survived by his mother and two siblings.

College Obituaries

Theodore Jula, a professor in the Business Administration department who taught marketing and management courses from 1989 to 2009, died in June 2022. 

Thomas Lucey, a former member of the College’s Board of Trustees, died in August 2022. 

Edmund “Bud” O’Connor, a running coach from 2000 to 2010, died in June 2022. 

Jose Carlos Perez, who died in April 2020, spent three decades teaching Spanish. A recipient of the Hegarty Award for Excellence in Teaching, he chaired the Foreign Languages department and inaugurated a study abroad option in his hometown of Zaragoza, Spain. 

Margaret Pettit, who died in July 2022, was a longtime friend and benefactor to Stonehill, along with her late husband, Raymond. The Pettit Atrium in the Shields Science Center was named after the couple. Margaret is also the mother of Kathleen Pettit ’85.

Philip Schneider, a lawyer with Brown Rudnick initially served as the College’s outside counsel but, in the early 2000s, he joined Stonehill as its legal counsel, a position he held for several years. He died in April 2022.

Lawrence Stepelevich, who taught philosophy in the early 1960s, died in August 2022.

George Sullivan, a former Facilities Management custodian, died in May 2020.

Rev. Charles Wallen, C.S.C., formerly of the Holy Cross Community at Stonehill, died in June 2022.

Russell Wilcox, who taught business computing and directed the Computer Information Systems Program, died in February 2022.
