Jason Lynch ’11
2020 Graduate of the Last Decade Award
Post graduation, you created a nonprofit called the Champions Project. An athletic program for underserved Brockton youth, it developed focus and discipline, critical skills in improving their academic performance. In creating and leading this award-winning program, you also served as a hands-on, in-the-ring, boxing coach.
At the Alzheimer’s Association, you excelled at all the behind-the-scenes aspects of philanthropy. In addition, you led by example, scaling Mount Washington three times in a single day raising funds for specific families affected by the disease.
As the Charity Defense Council’s first employee, you set new standards for nonprofit effectiveness while enhancing the public’s understanding of what resources and strategies charities need today to maximize their social impact.
One colleague hailed you as a “beacon of good” in that role. Another called you “a total Renaissance man” whose energy, focus and ability gave life to many bold dreams and noble causes.
In appreciation of your service to the common good, and how it reflects positively on Stonehill College, the Alumni Association is proud to present you with its Graduate of the Last Decade award for 2020.
