Some students come to Stonehill knowing exactly what they want to do
for a career; many, however, aren’t sure.
Others think they know, but change their mind after taking a few courses. Whatever category you fall into, academic advising is here to help.
Our one-on-one academic advising program spans all four years of a student’s education, first helping you discover your interests and strengths, then guiding you toward the combination of academic majors, minors and hands-on experiences and internships that will help you achieve your goals.
Through Stonehill’s Office of Academic
Services:
- Every incoming student is assigned an advisor — either a faculty member or a professional advisor, depending on the student’s major and other academic needs.
- Students who are undecided about their major are still assigned an advisor. They’re also able to participate in programs and activities to help them choose a major.
- Advisors assist students in:
- Developing a 4-year academic plan
- Choosing or changing majors
- Selecting courses each semester
