The Department of Visual & Performing Arts provides students with a comprehensive opportunity to experience specific artistic disciplines from various perspectives: historical, studio, graphic, and performance. We offer a curriculum that combines a strong academic curriculum with experiential learning.

Majors

Visual & Performing Arts majors may choose a General Concentration or one of six different concentrations. Many of our students double major to optimize career options or to satisfy a variety of interests:

The Stonehill Theatre Company will perform its spring production entitled Das Barbecü on April 11, 12 and 13 at 8:00 p.m. in Hemingway Theatre. Das Barbecü is a comedic, musical retelling of Richard Wagner’s Götterdammerüng (Twlight of the Gods) which is a part of his cycle of four “Ring” operas.
