Department of Foreign Languages

The Department of Foreign Languages at Stonehill College fulfills its mission by teaching foreign languages, cultures and literature, by promoting cross-cultural understanding, and by presenting models of effective pedagogy. Members of the Department also serve the College and wider community in areas pertaining to foreign languages.

The Department of Foreign Languages offers majors in Spanish, French and Foreign Languages, and minors in French, German, Italian Studies and Spanish.

Abby Bongaarts ’15 will be spending her junior year some 4,000 miles away from Stonehill, studying in Munich, Germany after recently earning a prestigious DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship, which is the German equivalent of the Fulbright Program in America.
