Your Guidance

Becoming familiar with college life, our academic programs and our co-curricular opportunities, will help you to better guide and support your student as he or she makes many important decisions. Your guidance and support is critical to the educational success and well-being of your son or daughter while at Stonehill.

Students as Agents of their Own Learning and Well-Being

While at Stonehill, your son or daughter will be challenged to think critically about the world around them, to respond to those challenges thoughtfully and with passion, and to become persons who lead with confidence and dignity.

In order for this to happen, your son or daughter needs to take primary responsibility for his or her own education and well-being.

We expect students to become "agents of their own learning and well-being," which means their development involves learning how to make their own decisions and learning how to move forward when a change in approach is required. We hope that you, as parents, will look for and expect evidence of this emerging maturity and independence in your students.
